A fabulous role for a motivated and energetic leader to run the Abingdon Carousel Family Centre is available. If you care about families with young children and know how hard life can be for them we would like to hear from you. We are looking for someone who is well-organised, with some experience in working with children or working with families, and with great inter-personal skills. You need to be reliable and good at multi-tasking, able to use a computer for basic Office tasks, and willing to learn to write reports and put together data. You will become our safeguarding lead after training and will also be in charge of our health and safety processes and making sure the building is well-presented and cheerful for the families that use it. We would love you to contribute enthusiasm and ideas for fundraising, staff development, events for families, attracting volunteers, liaising with other organisations and encouraging the community to use the building.

You will be leading a great staff team and reporting to a committed Board of Trustees who will value your energy, ideas and commitment. Our family sessions only run during school term time although there are sometimes some limited duties that fall in the holiday periods so this can be a very family-friendly post if you need it to be. Hours can be discussed to suit your situation within a range of 15 - 25 hours a week in termtime. We will consider job-share applications.

The role is available with an accounts and financial management component (Financial Officer) as additional hours or you can apply simply for the Centre Manager role.
